Visiting the Overwatch page initially loads up a regular screen, as shown in the image above. The title is something in binary code: 00110010 00110011 — but upon close inspection, it becomes clear that this is the work of our elusive Sombra. The topic posted by a user called Skycoder has a familiar message: La que tiene la informacion; Tiene el poder, which is a Spanish phrase, meaning — She who has the information, has the power. The most obvious Sombra clue is the user image itself, which is the exact same skull logo that Sombra revealed in one of her earlier messages. However, you only have a few seconds to register all this as the screen soon starts to flicker and the whole page glitches out. What is left is another cryptic message pictured below. This led the Game Detectives to a video URL hidden in Blizzard’s secret archives, which you can see here. This shows an x-ray of a female called Janina Kowalska, another name believed to be used by Ana Amari. Could Blizzard be telling us that Ana and Sombra are in fact the same person? Anyways, coming back to the X-ray video it gave several clues. Firstly, the electrocardiograph at the bottom right, showing the heartbeat line, is apparently a code. If we look closely at the small bars along the heartbeat line we can see there are 26 of them. Perhaps each represents a letter of the alphabet? Somehow, these clues led the Game Detectives to another website, called A Moment in Crime. This is actually a fake crime help line in the Overwatch Universe, which previously suggested that Sombra had left a clue in the auto-response email. Sending an email here will generate the following auto reply. The email itself seems to allude to the Junkrat and Roadhog origins video, but that’s all we know so far. At the time of writing, this is the extent of the progress made so far. We want to thank the amazing people at Game Detectives, and the thousands of fans who have contributed. We will keep you updated as the story develops. If you are new to Overwatch or have not been following the Sombra fiasco we’ve got you covered.
